Dr. Michele Houston joined Women’s
Health Associates in August of 2000 after completing her training at Emory University. Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology,
she specializes in infertility, recurrent miscarriage, treatment of fibroids, laparoscopic treatment of ovarian pathology
and endometriosis, and high-risk obstetrics. She is on the staff of Northside Hospital.
Dr. Houston grew up in Houston, Texas and London, England. She received her undergraduate
degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch
in Galveston. She completed her internship and residency at Emory University followed by a yearlong fellowship in the specialty
of Pelvic Surgery at Emory University.
Dr. Houston
belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has published
a number of articles in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology on alternative surgical approach in Caesarian section.
Dr. Houston consistently applies the latest advanced medical
technology to patient care while at the same time striving to provide personal and tender care to her patients.
Dr. Houston enjoys oil painting, gardening, and running.
She and her husband have two daughters, a son, and a very patient dog that gets little rest.
