Christine Hoey, MSN, APRN, IBCLC Christine is passionate about wellness promotion and treating the whole person. She is an educator, advocate, active
listener and a practitioner who encourages her patients to be partners in their health care. Her patients range from adolescents
to post-menopausal women. Christine brings a wealth of knowledge from a variety of disciplines and traditions. She has additional
expertise in contraception management, lactation consulting, urinary incontinence and transitions in menopause including hormone
replacement therapy. She has a special interest in nutrition and complimentary therapies. Christine
graduated from Florida State in 1984 with a bachelor’s in Nursing. She completed her master’s degree at Duke University
in 1997 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Chris has been a board certified lactation consultant since 1989. She has been involved
in maternal child health and women’s health for over 20 years and is a member of the American Nurses Association, International
Lactation Consultant Association and the National Women’s Health Association. Chris has practiced
in Atlanta since 1998. She and her husband Joseph have one son. An avid photographer, she enjoys the arts, music and travel.
